It's been a while
I haven't posted to this blog for a very long time. I haven't been teaching childbirth classes, because my family really needs me right now, and I want to be here for them. I hope when I am ready to return to teaching that I will find pregnant women and couples who want to learn. Since my last post, so much has happened in my life. I moved. I've given birth to two more children, one of those via emergency cesarean section, and one of my children died (not the one born via cesarean). My teenagers have needed me more now than ever, whether they believe they need me or not. I left the Bradley Method, because they refused to update their materials. When I return to teaching, I will probably develop my own curriculum. Anyway, much has been happening in my life. I want to serve moms and babies. My heart is in that. My heart is also for doing the best I can in raising my own family, so that is why I'm taking an undetermined leave of absence from teaching. Family comes first. I will be back to teaching, and it will be even better, since I have even more personal experience in birth than I did when I started my leave. Until then, my advice to pregnant women is to read all you can about birth, eat well, exercise, and practice relaxation every day.
